Data controller
The data controller for personal data processed through toprankcasinos-uk.com is TopRank UK. You can contact us about this policy or your data at support@toprankcasinos-uk.com.
This content is not intended for an audience under 18 years of age. TopRank UK is a comparison website and does not provide gambling services. We do not knowingly collect personal data from anyone under 18.
What we collect and why
- Messages you send us. If you email us, we receive your email address, name (if given) and the content of your message. We use it to reply to you. Lawful basis: legitimate interests (running the site and answering enquiries).
- Technical data. Our hosting provider and we process your IP address, browser and device type, pages visited and the date and time of your visit, to deliver the website, keep it secure and prevent abuse. Lawful basis: legitimate interests.
- Your 18+ confirmation. We store in your browser that you confirmed you are 18 or over, so the 18+ notice is not shown on every visit. This is strictly necessary for the service you have asked for.
- No analytics or advertising cookies. We do not use analytics or advertising cookies. If we introduce them, we will ask for your consent first and update this policy.
- Affiliate click data. When you use a link to a platform, a click identifier is passed to the platform or its affiliate network so that a referral can be recorded. This does not include your name or contact details. Lawful basis: legitimate interests.
We do not sell your personal data. We do not collect payment or gambling account details: if you register with a platform, you do so on the platform’s own website under its own privacy policy.
Who we share data with
We share personal data only where needed with:
- service providers that host, secure or support the website (for example our hosting and content delivery provider), acting on our instructions;
- professional advisers, and regulators or law enforcement where we are legally required to; and
- platforms and affiliate networks you choose to visit, who are independent controllers of the data they collect on their own websites.
International transfers
Our providers may process data in the UK, the European Economic Area and other countries, including the United States. Where personal data is transferred outside the UK we make sure an appropriate safeguard applies, such as an adequacy decision or standard contractual clauses with the UK addendum.
How long we keep data
We keep personal data only for as long as we need it for the purposes above. Emails are generally deleted within 24 months of the last contact. Server and security logs are kept for a short period. Choices stored in your browser stay there until you clear them.
Your rights
Under UK data protection law (the UK GDPR and the Data Protection Act 2018) and, where it applies, the EU GDPR, you have the right to access your personal data, to have it corrected or erased, to restrict or object to our processing, to data portability, and to withdraw consent at any time. To exercise a right, email support@toprankcasinos-uk.com.
If you are unhappy with how we handle your data you can complain to the UK Information Commissioner’s Office at ico.org.uk , or to your local data protection authority. We would appreciate the chance to put things right first.
